Current broadband options

Hi all,

I'm finally getting fed up of paying virgin media over =A350 a month=20
for a home phone that I never use, a set of tv channels that I=20
rarely ever watch and a broadband service which has intermittent=20
faults and isn't as fast as others for the same money. Now I know=20
that I could tell them I'm leaving and get a price reduction but I=20
still want to compare against alternatives.

So all I really want is a decent broadband service. Extra TV=20
channels would be nice icing but not essential and I can certainly=20
live without a home phone. Given all that what would people go with=20
at the moment?

I did read about broadband being available over freeview a while=20
ago, but haven't seen anything recently. Anyone got the gossip or=20
know about this?
