Ray - I'm not sure I understand your comments about reliability etc -
In the 4-5 years that I've been running Geovision systems (from the
650 card to the current 1240), I've never once had an issue with
reliabilty of the system or recording. I have had a couple of overlay
issues relating to a graphics card but nothing that prevented or
stopped recording etc. I've just found it rock solid. I've not heard
of other users with major problems either (on this list anyway). I've
been running on a dedicated XP install all that time - nothing else
installed on that PC though.

Were the 'tweaks' you mentioned purely config and camera setup type
issues?

I can understand your points about reselling though - I guess you
really need to sell a support contract with the cheap-ish hardware to
cover your costs and make money, especially if you are expected to
maintain the system and it's settings day to day?

The cheap-ish nature (and fully featured software) is one of the main
reasons it's so popular with HAers I guess.
