That's unusual, what model of Denon receiver is this?

You can do this with Girder (www.promixis.com - declaration of interest, I
work for Promixis) and my
Denon serial plugin, although I daresay that there are other solutions that
will also work.

Unfortunately not :(

Girder can do this too with e.g. a USB-UIRT
