I have a 4306 and am very happy with it - the HD switching, upscaling
and network connection were the things that attracted me most.

Also have a look at the Marantz SR8001. Had this one been around I
would have considered this as well:

<http://www.marantz.com/new/index.cfm?
fuseaction=Products.Product&cont=eu&bus=hf&prod_id=3660&series=comp&ty
pe=avr>

I've not used one of these so dont know how well it performs, however
the spec does look good and the price appears to be around that of
the 4306.

I already use 2 out of 3 of my HDMI ports and am about to use the
3rd, so the fact that the Marantz has 4 ports looks good to me - I
will probably buy a PS3 at some point.

I would add that setting up the Denon via the web interface is far
easier than using the front panel, so that is certainly an advantage.

I also wanted to use the Denon to upscale the sky SD, however as far
as I can tell you have to set the sky to one output format or
another, it doesnt switch automatically, so to get HD I have it set
to 1080i, so it upscales the SD itself, if I set the output to SD I
dont get the HD channels in HD - maybe I am doing something wrong
here it was some time ago and I havent tried again since.

If you have any luck with the sky I would be interested to know how
you go.

Cheers,

Rob
