IIRC the limit is to do with the BIOS/IDE interface.

With USB it's handled in software by the OS, so would guess there isn't.
But
I might be wrong!

Can I just ask - if a PC has a limit on internal hard drives (I've got an
old PC which can only handle like a 40GB internal hard drive) but they have
a USB port, can they cope with a large external hard drive i.e. 350GB?
