I use a Synology DS207. Whisper quiet, runs cool and does the job very
well.
The 207 is a two-drive unit, they do a single drive version (the 107).
You add your own SATA drives, so can be anything you like. I have a pair of
Seagate 500GB as a mirrored pair.

Some people at work have the Maxtor Mybook - but I have never liked Maxtor
had lots of problems with their hard disks about 4-5 years ago, but maybe
things have improved?
