Hi,

It looks like its that common problem happening to some source/monitor
combinations.

All monitors should present a 75ohm load so that the source component
can detect whether a monitor is connected. And if nothing is connected
it won't bother outputing. Unfortunately some cheapo monitors don't do
this.

To solve it, wire a 75ohm resistor inline. I've seen some 75ohm RCA
adaptor plugs in the past too.
