What about a massive booster and knock em all out of the water.

My grandad had a "Black Widow" antennae for his CB back in the
late 70's /
early 80's - wonder if you could use that - it was about 20 feet tall on
top the the house :-)

Problem here is that WiFi is getting far too popular ... Right now I can
see
nine Access Points including my own which looks like an increase of three
over this bank holiday weekend alone. (Seeimingly at randomly selected
channels too so everyone bleeds over everyone else.) I now can't get
reliable streaming of even an MCE recording to my laptop let alone stream
a
DVD from the server! :-(

I've just ordered an Intel 2915ABG - an 802.11a/b/g version of my current
Intel 2200b/g WiFi mini PCI card for my laptop and am now trying to find
an
802.11a access point or 802.11a/b/g router...
