thanks ... 'sounds like mounting below / on a horizontal surface could
be the trick, rather than on brackets etc ...

Hi Chris -
I have had two domes outside for two years+ and never had to clean them
or had problems with spiders. They are mounted underneath the eves, so
'are out of all but the worst weather.
