Noughtomate,,

Modulating is when you add two signals together and produce a third, like
audio carried by radio.

The triplexer works because the 3 signals all operate in different bands,
FM around 90MHz, TV 450MHz, Satellite IF 1000Mhz (The satelite signal has
already been converted from 10GHz to 1GHz by the LNB so that it can be
carried in a cable...)

The loft box use triplexing, 3 signals on the same cable, it doesn't affect
the signals other than a little more attenuation but shouldn't be an issue
for most installs. This is similar tot the way ADSL is carried on telephone
lines, the 'filter' supplied by ISP is a Di-Plexer...

ITYM "multiplexing"-.

Those 4 signal types are all in different frequency bands, so you ought
to be able to separate them out ok...
