I've yet to find a reasonably priced (or unreasonably priced, come to
think of it) IP Camera with decent night vision.

IP cameras are great in that they are self contained, and yet will still
work with the likes of zoneminder for motion detection.
CCTV cameras are immune from network issues though, and will give much
higher frame rates (assuming a decent frame grabber).

Perhaps a network video server with a decent cctv camera attached is a
good compromise? Not that there are any really good network video
servers that don't cost a small fortune, that I've found...
