RE: Cool web 'radio' site
Yep Pandora is really excellent!
No ads within the music, and only a very small amount of pop-ups that
disappear when you turn off - ie no Trojans etc.
They analyse the music you suggest and pick more music with the same
characteristics - eg I chose a new station for the artist Teddy Geiger, and
they played one of his tracks then the next song they chose was
"recovery"
by "Fingers Cut". Why? It "features mellow rock
instrumentation, folk
influences, a subtle use of vocal harmony, acoustic sonority and a
vocal-centric aesthetic"
Hmmm. seems to work!

Not sure if this has been mentioned on UKHA before, but www.pandora.com
seems to be quite a cool site - just put in your favourite artist or album,
and it compiles a never-ending playlist of similar tracks, without options
to thumb up/down etc. It's free (but with advertising on the site, and
maybe in the music stream, not that I've heard anything yet), with a sub
option for ad-free.
