cpc sell baluns you could use with cat5 don't they? For IR feedback use
the remaining pair of cat5 not used for video & stereo audio - put an
IR
LED on the near end pointing at the cable box, and a suitable driver on
the other end (google for "IR repeater circuit"), eg:
