Does comfort have voltage free relays for bypassing a thermostat or do you
have to have some interfacing electronics?

All my logic is done via Comfort. Comfort can control all of cbus, but not
the other way around.

Homeseer just logs everything.

Ok - not sure I want to get into Pascal programming (although I did do it
for A Level many years ago!).

I've been using the pjcComfort plugin for quite a while now (got quite a
few bugs out) - been working very well :) Easy status and control now from
MainLobby :)

You have CBus don't you? What control method do you use (if any?)
