I do ADSL support for a living so I should be able to help you.

Ok,

1. Who moved the master socket? you or BT themself?

2. I assume your connecting your netgear directly into the DSL socket
on the filter?

3. Have you swapped the filter?

4. Is it a NTE5 linebox you have

5. Do you have any hardwired extension sockets from the master?

If you have answered yes to 4 and 5 then screw of the face plate
and connect a filter straight into the test socket behind it.

Also connect a machine directly into the netgear as well and not
through your hub and/or own CAT5 wiring system.
