Hi

You can install as a windows service a program called "poweroff":

http://users.pandora.be/jbosman/applications.html

You can then access this remotely using telnet. I've set it up so that I
can
use an expect script under unix to shutdown via telnet. I'm sure that
something similar could be down using python on XBMC.
