Thanks for that Marc. I use mine in landscape all the time so that
could be a bit of a problem (and trawling through the net it seems
it may not be particular to your device but could be the date of the
ROM). I used the 'Extended POI Warnings' program to change the
sounds and it's so much better to have the spoken warning than just
a sound (but as you say it has to modify a couple of files).
If it is just a problem with earlier ROMs I might give it a go as
TomTom won't support any issues with the M5000. What ROM is your
device?
