I think it depends on what elements of functionality is turned on in
OWA.
If RPC over HTTP is enabled (which it often isn't) you should be able to
configure full (Fat) outlook at home (not outlook express) to work over the
WEB via OWA as if you where in the office.  Once you have done this Outlook
can be synced in the same ways as you would in the office.

This assumes Outlook & Exchange 2003.
