OT 35mm Film Scanners

Apologies for the OT post, there is a tenuous HA link as I need to=20
scan pictures of the house I have been renovating (or gadgetising as=20
SWMBO calls it).

I know a number of people on the list are interested in photography=20
and would be gratefull of recomendations for a good 35 mm film strip=20
scanner??=20

Needs to be capable of scanning more than one negative at a time and=20
ideally be around 4000dpi and most importantly QUICK (in total about=20
7,000 frames will need transfering to digital)

Currently I am looking at two Nion units (LS50 and LS5000) as well as=20
a Microtek 4000tf, so would be very grateful of any personal=20
experiences people have had with these? Especially, is the extra =A3275=20
for the LS5000 really worth it??

regards

Paul
