It's the scaling that is crap on these devices and that's what is causing
all the grief ... Have you tried watching freeview output from MCE at the
native resolution of your output device (1368 x 768 for my 32" LCD)?
The picture quality itself is quite superb and I usually do a comparison by
sticking the MCE machine and one of my Freeview PVRs onto the same program
and switching between them ... The difference is quite amazing - the
Freeview PVRs which output at PAL resultion and which are upsampled by the
display look crap whilst the MCE machine looks great!
