As an iPod fan, I will admit that this is one of my pet hates about my
iPod. Its really annoying that you cant just add mp3s as files, and
remove them as the same.

I don't use iTunes, I use anapod explorer, which gives me more
control.... but like you say, I still need that extra software. (I
don't trust iTunes with my music collection)
