[OT] What Graphics Card for DVD Playback

  • Subject: [OT] What Graphics Card for DVD Playback

Well i've got everything up and running. Have added a new ISO source
to medianet and written a front end for an MVP to select my DVD's.
Also have a program to auto mount the ISO image and another to
control TheatreTek. A couple of scripts hold everything together
including switching the video matrix automatically, and am really
pleased with the result. Everything can be controlled via a rio/ddar
remote (or exstreamer/slimp3 remote for that matter), which also
means everything can be zoned to the correct room

Many thanks for all the advise on hardware/software i've received,
much appreciated

The only downside at the moment is the PC I'm using for playback has
a graphics card that's not up to the job. It's fine in most ways but
really fast movement (or explosions etc) can get blocky. If i use my
laptop tv out instead the output is fine though.

So i was wondering if anyone could recommend an AGP card with
composite/s-video out i could use please (currently only have an ati
radeon 9200se)?

Eventually i'll probably put some media servers around the house so
i can use dvi etc, but for now would like to use the main house pc
via the video matrix

Many thanks
Tony
