Hiya!
Lets widen this out a little... anyone thought of the PSP's - with
firmware v2 on it you have a web browser, and its wifi. So its a case of
some web page control and your away! If I remember rightly there are usb
IR transmitters that you could hook to your pc... a bit of PHP maybe?...

getting the
buttons done isn't a problem (although there's no function behind them
at the mo)
