No complaints from me on a Radeon 9600XT - super cheap, and very capable.
Get the XT version if possible, although the "Pro" is also OK -
Don't get
the "SE" version.

The Radeon 9600XT cards also run really cool - they have a minimal fan to
start with, and you can replace it easily with an arctic cooler designed
for
Radeons - these things are *silent* and perfect for HTPC style machines.
