It's a very polished bit of kit.  I think it looks quite good, myself.  Are
you looking at the right thing(http://www.garysargent.co.uk/tivo/faq/ThomsonTiVoPVR10UK.jpg)?
 It's the most SWMBO-compliant bit of kit I've ever bought.  Universally
accepted as brilliant.  I handed SWMBO the remote, said "this button
gets you the menu", and that was that.  3 or 4 years later, and she's
just getting to grips with the toppy that replcaed it.  She's less
enamoured with that.
