This reminds me of a story from a couple of commercial pilot friends...

One of their colleagues had set a mobile ringtone as a recording of
the "woop-woop, pull-up, woop-woop, pull-up" alarm. Imagine their
surprise (having accidentally left their mobile turned on in their
jacket), as they descended on final approach somewhere in the fog, to
receive a text message... One aborted landing and emergency
'go-around' later, they realised their mistake, and confessed to the
captain. Not a good career move...
