RE: Tivo or MCE
Hi Neil,
Before some changes here in my current property (i.e. we're going to sell
it
as soon as its finished) I intended to use an old server (I had a quad p3
1gig with 2gig of ram to hand and a scsi raid array) with a 3 tuners in
there, a decent video output - kat5 - lounge -kat5 - tv, so I'd have my ir
facilities too.
This should negate the need for a box in the front room (which for me,
scores some serious plus points with the better half)
Wotcha think?
Jonathan

MythTV, and put it all in node0 with a quiet low-power machine for the
frontend. Would just need a single ethernet run, or 802.11g and a
moderate dose of luck.
Kim.
