I don't think 1-wire sensors draw that much :-)

Is there a 1-wire hall effect sensor? Maybe that could sense current
flow in the pump wire directly? (Or rather sense the magnetic field
created when current flows...?)

Relays may isolate primary and secondary coils physically a bit, but a
nearby lightning strike could easily jump the gap...
