Re: BBC- News story - domestic wind power
What made me laugh about that article was one of the comments
afterwards
- someone saying how much better it would be for everyone to install
micro-generation wind turbines instead of spending billions on nuclear
power. A rough calculation suggests at least 2k per house, multiplied
by 23 million homes, which comes to £46bn, and would satisfy only 30%
of
the country's power demands.
Whether it comes from taxes or comes directly from our own pockets,
£46bn isn't much of a saving over next-gen nuclear.
