I know I'm only picking up on one of these, but how is a PC left on 24/7
any more of a fire risk than a Terrastation left on 24/7? I've never
known a PC go up in flames. I have seen a few fires from wall-warts
though.

I haven't looked up the Terrastation specs, but is there any protection
against disk failure (a la Raid 5)? It would take an awfully long time
to restore the contents of such a large drive - at least a PC with Raid5
gives some protection against such an eventuality.
