I may have posted on this a few months back.  However, I played with
a Terastation for a while and found it hideously slow for transferring
large volumes of data.  The person who bought it then tried using it as
a fileserver for his mp3 and video collection and gave up because of
the poor performance.  The box may well support gigglebit ethernet,
but I couldn't even get it to take data at full chat on a 100Mb/sec
link.

They may of course be no big deal if you're not throwing huge amounts of
data at them, but I'd be wary if you are.
