minimalist, surely, would do without the switches - silver or otherwise
... why would you want them, anyway, with HA ?

PS: my hi-fi is 1980s ! .... but agree 1970s fashions were a bit odd ...
'saw a '70s movie the other day - they ought to have warned us !
