I bought a Humax 9200T PVR last Xmas for the wife to use as that has a USB
port on it which you can pull recordings off via to archive to DVD. At the
end of the day a build-it-yourself PC solution is OK but it's far less
grief to use something pre-built and dedicated to a purpose with a proper
manual.

I on the other hand don't mind using a PC based solution and so use MCE...
