Have you had a look at the new 52" Sony KDL52X2000?  LCD rather
than
plasma of course.

I'm still struggling with the LCD vs Plasma question but (Sony at
least) LCDs seem to have the edge at the moment with 1080p.  I'm
favouring the 46" Sony at the moment but havent quite made up my
mind.  They are almost too sharp.  Brilliant with HD sources but I'm
not sure they handle the usual garbage signal from sky/freeview that
well.
