APC UPS shutdown of HA and other servers?

  • Subject: APC UPS shutdown of HA and other servers?

I used to run a bit of software that would shut down several PC=92s
connect=
ed to an APC UPS =96 can=92t remember what it was called though. However,
i=
t was quite unreliable and crashed the W2K3 server several times. Since
the=
n (at least a year ago), I=92ve not had proper UPS shutdown protection on
m=
y HA server.

What options are there for doing this these days? I think my UPS has an
opt=
ion slot =96 would some kind of Ethernet card be the best route and
powerch=
ute on several PC=92s???

Thanks,

Paul.
