Well I'm playing around with it now (works perfectly) just trying to
streamline it a bit and remove the GUI.

We did this for work, so that when we were on-call we could use our
work "bot" to do simple tasks for us, for example look up the
phone
directory, user information, or restart servers. We had a version
written for MSN and Yahoo, but the protocols do change as Ian says, so
unless you have lots of time its not a great solution.

When it is working, it works brilliantly!

I used java libraries to implement our solution
