VOIP(SIP) + DECT + Answering machine + lifeline (PSTN) + CallerID

  • Subject: VOIP(SIP) + DECT + Answering machine + lifeline (PSTN) + CallerID

Hi Group

I have the following devices:
2 line DECT PBX - one line for PSTN voice and one line for outbound VOIP
calls
VOIP router
Caller ID box (the 2 line dect does not support CallerID)
Answering Machine to take both inbound voip and pstn unanswered calls.
Talking caller ID box.

The question (and mainly for the Asterisk crowd) - can this be done in a
better way?

I have seen the following at CEBIT, but it is not out at the moment.
http://www.avm.de/en/press/announcements/2006/2006_03_09_03.php3
It may not be out for a while so wondered if there was a better way.

So the requirements:
Ability to make an outbound VOIP call while on an inbound PSTN call
Defaults to VOIP for outbound calls
When on a VOIP call, the other DECT handsets ring when an inbound PSTN call
originates.

Difficult, I know!
