Re: XBOX 360 to Philips HD TV

Scart and svideo wont do the HD but you might be able to use your HDMI
socket with the 360 in a round about way.

A google found this but I know nothing about them
http://www.svideo.com/hdmi.html

I have a HDMI 2 DVI cable but I have not tried it with a DVI 2 VGA
convertors. The fact that I cant fint a HDMI 2 VGA cable makes me think
that
it may be more difficult than a simple cut and shut.

There is another way though
Does your AV amp support HDMI?
Does it have component in?
can it route the component out to the HDMI?

There is talk of MS bringing out a HDMI cable for the 360 but that could be
a ways off.

There has been a lot of talk esp as the PS3 has HDMI and a lot of new
screens are digital input only so MS or a 3rd party will have to bring out
a
suitable cable
