J-box installation help

  • Subject: J-box installation help

Hi,

I am putting in a couple of J-boxes in preparation for installing a couple
of Saturn DLT's but I am just wondering if anyone has installed a J-box in
solid walls?

The lugs that the mounting screws connect to are external to the J-box
enclosure which is the opposite of what we would have for a solid wall back
box.

There is a picture here :- http://www.adlow.com/gallery/c-bus

I would normally use bonding plaster to securely fit the backbox in the
wall, but if I do that in this case, the fitting won't be able to screw in
to the mounting lugs as they would have solid plaster behind them.

Any ideas?

Cheers, Des.
