Hacking into LAN

Hi,

The owner of another forum wants to open up a webcam to the outside world
but is a bit concerned that someone might be able to hack into his LAN.

I'm thinking of doing the same as I've got a camera in a bird box and it
looks very much as if we will soon have some little ones -:)
....so I want to know the risks before I do it. Cannot have others mucking
up all my HA (I'm quite capable of doing that myself!).

I've told him that I know of some very technically capable people who I'm
sure would love to give it a go!! If anyone would like to try some non
malicious hacking (not a DOS attack please) then email me off list and I'll
give you the details.

John
