Ah Rob, what you have to understand is that Macs are *easy*

It's not down to familiarity, or knowing the actual details of the OS -
just
switching to a Mac will instantly fix all your IT woes, because they are so
*easy*

They won't crash, either.

Uh-huh.

Apologies for the generally unhelpful response, but I have found getting
Macs to play on a mixed network to be akin to herding cats.

You might want to try connecting the printers (assuming they are USB)
directly to the MAC to let it auto detect them one at a time, *then* try to
connect over the network. I managed to get an HP deskjet shared out on a
Server 2003 connected that way.

I.

OK, I admit defeat. Phil was here earlier and he couldn't fathom it out
either (Which at least made me feel better!)................

We have one iMAC running OS X, we have lots of PC's..........

We have three printers, one networked on an IP print server. The other two
are USB and shared to the world.

So far so good.........But..............

How in hells name do you connect to them from the MAC? From the MAC I can
connect to the IP based one, I can see the other two on the network but
none
of them appear in the print driver list hence I can't print (Well I can use
a different driver on the IP one and print gobbledegook.). Well easy then,
go to the HP web site, find the driver, install........All OK! But, where
the hell is the driver installed? They don't appear in the installed print
driver list?

I have this feeling this is something really basic but I'll be buggered if
I
can work it out.

Thanks in advance.

Rob
