I've only got 512k because Eclipse cannot get BT to regrade my line. My
Vigor reports SNR of 23 and attenuation of 58, but BT simply refuse to
budge
even though their own specs state 20dB & 60 attenuation as the max
specs for
1Meg. I've stated that I am happy to be charged if the regrade proves
unsuccessful but that has also made no difference. If anyone has had
success
getting BT to do a manual regrade I'd be happy for any tips on which
department to try and speak to.

I would reckon your SNR is too low at just 10dB, this always drops as line
speed increases and I've heard from colleagues that any less then 7 or 8 dB
is too low for stable operation.

My attempts to get my 512ADSL line regraded to 1Mb are falling on stony
ground and I wondered how far I was off the mark.

My Vigor (God Bless it) reports my line stats at 10dB SNR Margin and a Loop
Attn of 65 - It is totally stable at this, but 1Meg would
be nice - how close am I. Does anyone with a 1Meg line get number close to
this?

TIA

Tim.
