[OT] Downloading song and album information

Hi all

Whilst working away a friend has asked me to build a simple application
for storing his DJ album/track information so he can find songs on
request.

I am looking at helpful ways he can populate this app from his current
collection of 4 large boxes of CD's before I write it. Since I am useless
with music albums plus don't have any with me I was wondering if you could
shed some collective light.

All his albums are original and he has dial up access to the Internet. Any
ideas how he can download track and album information and then save it
into say a comma separated file so I can import it. This would give me the
control over the data and save him or his daughter probably several weeks
of typing.

I am probably going to use VB6 as his lappy is very low spec and is only
running Office 97 really slowly.

Any help much appreciated

Thanks

Ian
