It doesn't actually connect to the exchange line, but yes, it seems to
work fine with UK kit.

Yes. You will almost certainly get stung for import duty/vat though,
over and above the list price.

Try ebay. E.g. item 5819396774. The dock'n'talk connects to the pbx as
if it were an exchange line, as does your incoming home phone line.
The phones around the house would be connected to the analogue
extension ports. Once configured, incoming mobile calls can be routed
to one or more extensions, and outgoing calls can be routed over the
fixed line or mobile line by dialling an arbitrary prefix.
