Hiya Keith,
I've just gone down this pain myself, although I have 'loaned' the pda
from work and have a separate gps receiver.

For an all in one - there's a few people at work that use these

My pain with the pda was the charge lasting and volume from the pda.
Anything past 30mph or the radio on and you had no chance of hearing
what was going on. I finally managed to get hold of a 'window sucker'
cradle with a speaker unit on the back - has a few hook up leads as its
a 'generic' unit - but it works. - ebay can be your friend on this one :)
