[OT] Dead pixels

Just taken delivery of a new laptop a fujitsu-siemens.

It has got some very annoying dead pixels bang in the centre of the screen.

Apparently fujitsu-siemens won't swap it out unless there are more than 5.

How can I tell if there are more than 5? How big are each individual pixel?

I wouldn't mind so much if it was to the side of the screen .. but bang in
the centre is not good.

Any ideas? Also what is this I have heard about massaging the pixels to get
them back to life? Does this really work?

Thanks,

Ho yin
