My point here, Ian, is that this is not a WebBrick versus Modtronix
comparison - today there is no comparison, and I doubt there will be.

The WebBrick has intelligence, windows configuration software and
integration software, and an open protocol, and is available
off-the-shelf, today.

With work, the Modtronix board will be able to be as useful as the
Netiom. However, as Kevin has already pointed out, there isnt a huge
price differential between the Netiom and the bare modtronix board,
and the Netiom is rather better endowed. Adding an I/O board, the
price differential erodes a bit more.

However, for distributed I/O where a few I/O is enough, then yep, the
Modtronix board is probably a good option.

For those of you working on this - good luck, make some cool stuff,
and please make sure it speaks xAP BSC, which today is the closest
thing we have to a universal TCP/IP network protocol for basic devices
for HA.

(And what I'd like a xAP BSC to X10 (TW523) gateway!)
