Does this list need to ban OT posts???

  • Subject: Does this list need to ban OT posts???

Opening the whole OT post debate again - am I mad!

There was a very good post yesterday from someone asking about X10 vs
Cbus/Zwave. This went unanswered. Yet in the same time there have been
the
usual OT posts.

OT posts can sometime actually be ON topic though. Other times they can be
an abuse of the list. Some members post more OT posts then ON topic ones
too.

What is the answer here people? I'm not keen on going to a fully moderated
list and losing the "entertainment" and "knowledge"
parts of the list.

At the same time its not good when quality HA posts are ignored, in favour
of OT stuff.

Answers on a postcard please...
