Which form of caller ID service do you have?
I guess given that you have ADSL, that your phone lines are from BT.
Was the other line that you successfully tested the modem on also a BT
line?
It could be that the modem only supports Bell style Caller ID (ie the US
system), which is what NTL mainly use...
