Havent fully read your post as its 5 am here and still half asleep
;-)...but i have a mss100 unit conneted to my probe system and can send
status requests to it from xPL easily ,so im sure you could connect a
mss100
to hv serial port and send serial commands quite easily.....I have probably
misunderstood your question here.....
